I've been to cropitiam several times and have generally been impressed by their food, their service, and their value for money. But they chose this one occasion to act up when I brought some omnivores from the family to try them out ☹️ The #nasilemak didn't taste of #santan and was way too sticky, the #veganprawn looked the part but was completely overdone and had a weird texture. The #sambal was still decent and #spicy, while the #cucumber + fake #ikanbilis + #kacanggoreng are in general hard to screw up even if you tried. I think the bosses/management crew are away for CNY, and the poorly-trained non-Malaysian staff were simply not up to the mark 😪
