Aside from the inclusion of palm oil, this is a really great #veganbutter spread that makes it so easy to #ditchdairy! I’m generally more of a #butter sticks gal (it’s better for baking,) but this tub was on sale for $2.99 at Hy-Vee. I also don’t mind the plastic in this case, as I have only 3 containers in my kitchen currently and plan to reuse this one to house leftovers/dressings in the future.
This spread tastes great on toast or in cooking! I recently used it to make a simple pasta sauce with garlic and fresh basil. It’s lightly #salt-ed, but not overwhelming; there’s no obvious #oliveoil flavor, either. It honestly just tastes like butter to me, and I know the omnis like it, too, as I spied it in my cousin’s kitchen once. I like that the packaging mentions that this #plantbased product has less than half the carbon footprint of its cruelty-promoting counterpart, as well!
