Review of Happy Soda at Warung Ijo by ahungryveg

Context: I have NEVERRR been a bandung kind of person, never really a fan of floral flavours ◉‿◉.

First impression was that it tasted like some sort of ice cream float 😋, but melted. The fizziness was not intense (think Coca Cola / makes you burp kind of intense), just enough to appreciate the little bubbles!

Make it vegan with the oat milk option. My partner (omni, sweet tooth and LOVES bandung) tried this too and was pleasantly surprised. He felt that oat milk paired better with bandung than dairy (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧

I took a sip from his cup and decided to order one for myself. I, a bandung-hater, actually finished the whole drink! Tbh, it was hard to finish at the end, but I think that was largely contributed by being full after our large meal.

To my fellow bandung-naysayers, cast your biases against the rose flavour aside and give it a try --- you might like it! Maybe steal a little sip from your meal buddies and get a whole thing for yourself if it passes at first impressions (✯ᴗ✯)!
