I bought this cheese block at Metro several months ago. I finally decided to eat it, a little after its best before date. I had accidentally stumbled upon it in the store’s cheese section.

I thought this “melting” cheese was something like “grilling” cheese. I thought it would just  get soft when I heated it up; I didn’t think it would actually melt and do what the label indicated. Surprisingly, it actually melted. It was nice and gooey, cheese strings were pulled.

I didn’t melt it as much as I could have, fearing it would stick to my pan. But it didn’t. I ate a couple pieces on their own place and a couple others on some vegan chicken strips. It was delicious either way.

I will try making a pizza with us.

Nutritionally, this cheese is a great source of vitamin B12, with a respectable amount of calcium too. It’s a little heavy on the saturated fat though.

I will look for this again.
