This is a very dense donut. The outside is glazed and sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon, so you’ll want to use the paper to avoid getting sticky on your hands. The dough is moist, as I believe they add apple cider, but I wasn’t able to taste any cider. I only noticed the cinnamon-sugar and other spices (maybe cardamom and nutmeg?) complimenting the flavor of the donut.

I’ve never had an apple cider donut before, so I’m not even sure if you’re supposed to taste the cider, but I’d think so. Anyhow, it definitely added to the soft texture, which fit just what I was looking for.

Priced at $4.75 each, this donut manages to provide a warming and somewhat gooey treat for the fall months.
