Our trip to Cuba was truly amazing. The country is gorgeous, the people are so incredibly kind, and the vegan options are actually all around as well as on the rise. We made it a point to stay at the only vegan hostel in Cuba. It’s a family run place located in Trinidad within fairly close proximity to the seaside. We absolutely loved these freshly made guava cakes our host made for us every morning. Paired with delicious Cuban coffee, we couldn’t ask for a better start to the day. Due to the ongoing troubles the country is known to go though, some ingredients may be hard to find from time to time so if you book here, I’d reach out to the host to see if there’s any ingredients, food, or supplies you can bring in to not only give to and support the Cuban people, but to also contribute to the amazing meals this family will cook up for you. We highly recommend this place for a stay to steep yourself in the culture of the locals and make some human connections.
