Vegan BBQ Jackfruit en The Barn — Reseña de organicjoe (6 ago 2023)

I'm using this restaurant as a pioneer for putting Half Moon Bay's vegan food scene on the map. This sandwich comes with BBQ jackfruit (you choose spicy or sweet; I chose spicy 😋), cabbage and carrot slaw, all on ciabatta 🍞 It's a simply sandwich but it was very tasty. The jackfruit was sweet and spicy with a nice amount of smokiness coming through in the jackfruit. The texture of the jackfruit is meaty, though biting into it won't make you mistake it for animal flesh. I also got some fries with my order and they were decent. They were a bit too crispy and salty for my taste (I kinda liked them less the more I ate). Overall, this was a nice vegan option here at The Barn. They also have a veggie burger that I would like to try next time I'm in town 🍃
