Still at Jai Krishna exploring the wide choice of vegan dishes. It’s a vegetarian restaurant with all dishes clearly marked and chefs who are happy to make a veg dish vegan on request.
We’ve ordered the plain dosa a lot recently as a nice substitute for rice and yesterday we tried Saarson Sag which is a south Asian green that is used in a similar way to spinach. It has a thicker texture and tastes like it’s packed with iron!
The okra was cooked in a tomato based sauce and we asked for a spicy hit. We got it! Nice contrast to the plainer taste of sag.
I have been going to this family run restaurant for many years and it is heartening to see how popular it has remained.
