I’ve been a huge Miyoko’s stan for years and I’m so disappointed that Miyoko was forced to leave the company that she started.
Grocery Outlet has had several Miyoko’s items available at incredible prices, most likely due to the company’s re-branding/re-packaging. I must admit I squealed when I saw this flavor as it was one I really wanted to try, and had originally been marketed as a limited edition (though it appears as though it may now be a permanent item).
This cheese is a firmer one and is not easily spreadable like some of the cheese wheel varieties. The cheese flavor itself is pretty mild but it is incredibly smoky. I’m really enjoying it but if you don’t like a smoked flavor, this is definitely not for you.
I’m unsure what to do moving forward, now that Miyoko and the company have now
settled and parted ways. Understandably, Miyoko is not disclosing what was included in the settlement and it appears she just wants to move forward. It feels wrong to continue to support this company when it appears as though they did her dirty.
