So the box is absurdly small (3 dates? And each one further individually #deathbyplastic wrapped inside?!) but I guess I shouldn’t complain since Safeway was giving them away for free. #forthedollar This was a promotional item with a coupon inside; hopefully the normal packaging is more sensible.
The large, sugary medjool #dates come pre-pitted for maximum convenience: snack, blend, bake, stuff the cavity with nut butter, etc. — whatever your heart desires. They’re a good source of fiber (and a great source of sugar, like donut amounts) considering their small size. I prefer other date varieties that are firmer and slightly less sweet, but it’s never a bad idea to keep a handful of these in the pantry as well!
