*** request for no egg ***

(Not an official menu item, I think?)

Got this from the Japanese stall at Design's canteen! You can ask the friendly auntie for veg options, and remember to request for no egg. The stall offers variations of this dish with similar toppings but different base (so far, I've only tried ramen, udon and rice).

Toppings: The toppings change from time to time, but it typically consists of 1-2 types of mock meat with some veg. This time, it had mock cha siew, mock wuxiang / ngoh hiang, carrot, corn, enoki, tofu and kelp.

Soup: I think they call their soup flavour shio-miso? Basically like a miso soup, nothing too complex. The soup is quite salty and oily (not sure of it is actually from the soup or the mock meats), but also v yum hahaha so I'm chill with it 😚.

Udon: Quite normal, like those you get from the shelves of supermarkets (not the dried or frozen or atas ones).

Overall: Nice bowl of soupy noodles with a decent variety of toppings. V cosy, especially if I just left a very cold classroom heh ~ Sometimes I wish their portion sizes were bigger, cos I get v hungry after using brain power 😂.

Price: $4

Note: I've had the ramen one a bunch of times (same thing but diff noodle). Not really ramen (neither like japanese ramen or korean ramyeon). Texture was more like the thick bee hoon or angel hair pasta. Still good though, just not really ramen IMO 😬.
