Moist Red Velvet Cake en CLOSED - Privé Paragon — Reseña de Jeanne (17 jun 2022)

Not quite convinced about this red velvet cake from Privé. First it was a bit too sweet for my liking. Then the flavour felt quite artificial.
On the brighter side, it wasn’t dry the way I feared it would be when I first saw the slice, and was rather moist. Yet it lacked a bit of change in the texture and could definitely use something crunchy (else than the coconut flakes on the top). Also, the cream cheese was quite nice (even though too sweet once again) and made the cake overall better.
Still, I wouldn’t recommend this. It tastes a bit like the overly sweetened and artificial/unhealthy birthday cake we all once had at least once. I was all the more disappointed as I had loved Privé’s carrot cake, which comes in a similar price and at the very same price ($7++). It is sooooo much better, both in terms of taste and texture!
