Apologies for the photos… I would’ve re-plated this but as you can probably tell, it wasn’t possible 🥲 Judge not for its appearance but all else 🫱 It may not look like much but it’s #veganlove to me… This is the epitome of poor man’s cooking and it just so happens to be of Hakka origins. Let it be known that this place does it right so it’s #naturallyvegan 👏 watch out for other places that add anchovies 😤
This review will be easy because this Lei Cha is literally #thebest in town. Anyone who’s eaten it will tell you the same 😋 It’s probably because it’s the owner’s family recipe, made with 9 different kinds of vegetables 🥹 and that’s just the ones you’re eating on top of the nice healthy purple rice underneath. The stir fry is so simple but the combination of #veggies makes for an amazing bite of sweetness from the turnip. There’s the #locallysourced favourite Cangkuk Manis (I’m sorry I don’t know of an English name) that is one of the most unique contributors of flavour among the #vegetables . Elements like the long beans gave so much crunch 💥 😜 The soup has so many more herbs along with the other vegetable medley at work. This is the bitter option and honestly, it wasn’t that bad 🙂
RM 8.50 on Grab is too much so better just dine-in. Plus, you’d avoid this additional styrofoam and plastic nightmare. I can’t remember the price anymore but it’s certainly not this much 😱
I’d recommend this #omnivoreapproved #accidentallyvegan dish! This stall even more so and nowhere else! #veganisnotscary
