Just following an existing entry here. A shame that the original poster decided to omit the Chinese characters 马蹄酥, which mean "horse hoof crispy biscuit". Once upon a time these were baked with one side stuck to the side of a clay oven, giving them such a resemblance #tradition 😉
On the inside, it's a paste made from wheat molasses, sugar, wheat flour, and peanut oil, then textured with sesame seed and fried onion. A satisfying flavour 😋
Disappointing that the elegant box gave way to #deathbyplastic inside (2nd picture). This occasion was fortuitous, because I brought these into the office to distribute and not everyone was in, but you can't design products based on corner cases 😔 #veganisnotscary but Malaysia's plastic dependency is 😬
P.S. "Beh Teh Saw" is 马蹄酥 in Penang Hokkien. I'm truly saddened that the world's most beautiful language has now been almost completely usurped by Mandarin every bloody where, including on abillion reviews ☹️

It would be nice to be able to post reviews in multiple languages 😄 Or label the language of your review 🐙
