Review of Mee Goreng at Zi Zai Vegetarian by r3ddrag0n
⚠️ This comes with egg normally so remember to TELL THEM NO EGGS ⚠️
I forgot the price of this, but it should be around $4-5. This stall has affordable dishes, your normal zi char prices.
I changed the mee to bee hoon, so technically this is Bee Hoon Goreng. The taste itself is nice, not spicy but still good. It is a nice dish to eat, however if you compare it to what an authentic Mee Goreng is supposed to taste like, it is not very authentic. There is no tomato taste and it’s more like a slightly spiced fried noodles.
As for the veggies, it is good enough, not that fresh. I’ve tried to ask for no mock meat every time but every time, they still put it in so there isn’t really any point in telling them no.
Another thing to note is that this dish is SUPER OILY. When I say it’s oily, I literally mean you can see a whole tablespoon of oil at the bottom of the container after you finish eating it.
Overall, this is your typical mee goreng from zi char stall, not very authentic nor healthy, but cheap and yummy enough.
