Didn’t expect to find this in the Prime Supermarket opposite my house! The red kiwi has a higher Vitamin E (skin health + high antioxidants), Vitamin C and potassium (heart’s health) compared to its golden counterpart.
The riper the red kiwi, the sweeter it gets! For mine, they taste similar to the golden kiwi — zesty and smooth! Unlike the golden kiwi, the “fizzy” after taste is not as strong although it is still quite significant. A box of 6 is priced at $7.95 though ._.
The red kiwi is seasonal, and it is only available between April and June, and can also be purchased at NTUC FairPrice, Seng Siong, Giant and Cold Storage!
