Like all German beers it's vegan, thanks to the Deutsches Reinheitsgebot (purity requirement from 1516). In my opinion, Veltins is a quite generic, industrial beer, so it doesn't stand out quite much to the rest. The radler (pilsner with lemonade) is too sweet in my opinion.
