Spicy Iced Chocolate en 수카라 Sukkara — Reseña de Madeleine (8 may 2020)

By the time you take out all the ice they cram in the pretty narrow ceramic cup there really isn’t much drink there at all. Which is a shame because it is made with beautifully fine chocolate and christmassy spices. I don’t know if it’s just due to years of assaulting my tastebuds with spicy food, but I couldn’t taste any chilli heat at all, which made me think that perhaps they erroneously used the title ‘spicy’ to mean ‘full of spices’ and not ‘full of chilli heat’ as I was expecting, like some sort of Aztec twist. It’s thick and tasty but the huge cubes of ice just got in the way of enjoying it properly, unfortunately. They get brownie points for using a non-plastic straw though.
