T's TanTan was born on March 20, 2011 from T's Restaurant (Jiyugaoka), which was founded in 2009. T's Restaurant, the birthplace of vegan dandan noodles, offers other dishes such as several kinds of ramen, paella doria, and Beyond Meat hamburgers in addition to dandan noodles. We also strive to develop new menu items every month, such as potages and parfaits, to please our customers. Currently, all our fresh cakes are gluten-free. We can also provide special occasions with natural wine and celebratory plates. We also accept reservations for parties, takeout meals, and whole cakes. We hope that more people will feel healthy and comfortable in mind and body and enjoy eating at T's Restaurant.

This place made us extremely happy! Fully vegan ramen shop located inside Ueno station. You have to tap into the train station to dine here. Or hop off a train to fill yr belly with some delish vegan ramen before hopping back in the next train and going along yr way. This black sesame dish is amazing! I was tearing up inside from pure joy! So much flavour in the broth, nutty seedy taste with a lovely hint of black pepper. Topped with some #sprouts and relish. A lovely scoop of soy meat. T’s TanTan is one of the most popular vegan restaurants in Japan and have several branches and products now! This restaurant is located in Ueno station in a shopping area called Ecute which is inside the ticket barrier. This was the last meal of my trip to Japan, I got this as a side dish to my ramen (the Soupless TanTan). The chashu is made from soy meat and I’ve had something similar at other restaurants or bought dried soy meat that looks like chashu. In general I feel like these side dishes pale in comparison to the main ramen dishes and because of that, they don’t boost the experience like I would want. The only one I really think is worth going for again is the gyoza. This side dish was priced at ¥350. #veganjapan #japan #tokyo

This restaurant is located in Ueno station in a shopping area called Ecute which is inside the ticket barrier. This was the last meal of my trip to Japan and getting this dish meant that I would have tried all the ramen dishes on their menu! Since this dish is soupless, it is supposedly a little “healthier” (not a great concern to me, I’m a massive advocate of food freedom). I really enjoyed the noodles on their own, that’s my favourite part of ramen anyway however I did feel like it was much saltier than their other dishes. If the dish was balanced in flavour a bit better then I would absolutely want to get this again when I’m in a soupless mood. It was priced at ¥980. #veganjapan #japan #tokyo

This branch is located in JR Ueno station after the ticket barrier in a shopping area called Ecute, on the top floor. This is a creamy broth with a dollop of peanut cream, the tantan meat, and some veggies. The broth was well flavoured, a good amount of savoury and the noodles were so good as usual. #veganjapan #japan #tokyo

I got this as a side with my ramen. I was intrigued to see how it compares to both char-siu made from pig flesh and vegan char-siu I’ve had in London. I don’t think it tastes like the animal meat one and I also think that the ones I’ve had in London are better - more flavoured and smokier. This char-siu was sweeter and softer than what I’ve had before. I do think it’s something I would get again and it’s also available as another side dish with rice (mini char-siu don). #veganjapan #japan #tokyo
