Delicious, crispy, shareable nachos. They’re slightly spicy, so they go great with the guacamole, which adds a coolness and smoothness. The chips are also good with hot sauce if you want even more spice. We loved that there was enough toppings for all chips and that the toppings were very well spread out over the whole plate. There was also the perfect amount of each topping. Every time I go to The Friendly Toast, ordering the nachos is for sure a must. I would like if they could melt the cheese a little more and add little more cheese. You can easily split the nachos between 2-4 people. #MITVegan

The taste reminds me of soup/ramen/hot pot but in burrito. It has a very smooth, subtle taste. There are big pieces of broccoli in the burrito, which I liked and made it taste very healthy and fresh. It definitely tasted like it was just made and each of the elements retained their natural flavor while absorbing the soup-like flavor. The tofu was really smooth and tender. We got the dish with sweet potato fries, which were very sweet and not salty. I think this dish would also be good as a bowl or soup, but it’s definitely interesting as a burrito. #MITVegan

There are pros and cons to this dish. The flavor reminds me more of Alfredo than Mac and cheese, which could be good or bad depending on which you like better. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the broccoli was chewy but soft. The Mac and cheese was a little soupy and on the con side, it was very very salty. With less saltiness, I would definitely recommend this dish. As it is, if you order it, I would ask for a low sodium version. Other than the saltiness, it’s a wonderful dish and I like the uniqueness of the curly noodles combined with the additional healthiness of the kale and broccoli. #MITVegan

This is a dish with a lot of different flavors that became the menu favorite of two of my fellow diners. The dish tastes homey, comforting, and very savory. The tofu was thick and flavorful. The tortilla chips were nice and crispy. The sweet corn went well with the spicy green salsa. The flavors were really well balanced and each ingredient contributed perfectly to making the dish a crowd pleaser. It has the vibe of fresh Mexican food yet also American with the tater tots. The dish comes with fries, but you can substitute tater tots or something else if you want. #MITVegan

The blueberry pancake at The Friendly Toast is amazinggggg. It’s light and fluffy but thick at the same time. The blueberries add additional sweetness and softness that complement the pancake texture well. I’ve had some so-so vegan pancakes before, but this pancake is top notch. Even one of my friends who doesn’t fancy pancakes loves this pancake. The pancake is in the breakfast section, but personally I recommend it as a dessert, ideally with the side of fruit and the real maple syrup from behind the counter for an even more excellent experience. These pancakes are giant, and you can split one easily among 2-3 people. I guarantee that every time I come to The Friendly Toast I’ll be sure to order the vegan blueberry pancake! #MITVegan
