The only time I saw stinky tofu before, it wasn’t veg; so, I’m happy for this opportunity to try. Yes, it is stinky but I would call it distinctive stinky rather than bad stinky

We actually found this stall at a night bazaar near Yishun mrt so gave this stinky Tofu a try for the first time. Nice, actually. Nothing stinky at all. Very flavourful. But portion very little at $7.40 in my opinion. #veganproud

I’m so happy that Man Kou Xiang appears in Woodlands now and then. Their stinky #tofu may have caused some complaints (it even appeared on the news for the same reason), but it’s still worth the hour-long wait! I’m lucky not to wait an hour, having been in line for just a few minutes before my turn to order. It seems like they have solved the problem of supply and staffing shortages. I usually get their spicy mala flavour, but this time I tried the #fivespice white #stinkytofu. I wasn’t expecting it to be topped full of #garlic, but I’m not complaining because I’m a #garlicgirl 😂 The flavour is #intense, and I love it! Still a little spicy (something to take note of if you’re looking for something not spicy at all). The white tofu is juicy, unlike the black tofu I had before. You can try the white tofu with dry topping and black tofu in the soup base. Stinky, but not as stinky as the ones in JB, and the ones in JB are not as good as the ones in Taipei 😆

我上次吃臭豆腐是11多年前在台湾。它的味道这么香特别，我起初想:这是纯素的?!汤很好喝，他们说是微辣但我觉得很辣。豆腐有个特别的味道但不会太强，刚刚好。我配炒饭吃刚刚好。我一定会回来再吃! Oh boy, what a gem!!! At first look and taste I was like, omg, this is vegan?! Such flavours! The stall is all vegetarian! The soup was said to be "mild spicy" but it was rather spicy for me. Very delicious. It went perfectly with the fried stinky tofu. The tofu has a unique aroma that isn't too overpowering. I had this with fried rice, and they went pretty well, need a more neutral dish to balance it out. I'm definitely gonna try their other flavours!!! #musttry #veganheaven 😇
