A cold mixture of grilled eggplant, grilled capsicum, and herbs in olive oil, with slices of brown bread to spoon onto. Simple and yummy. Was it worth €8 though for some grilled veggies and bread though? I’m still not sure.

An ordinary flat falafel, more or less. Very good dipped in the soy mayonnaise that comes with it. I can’t condone the price though. €2.5 for one falafel is a bit steep.

A delightfully crispy and very tasty croquette of what looked like red capsicum. Super delicious dipped in the soy mayonnaise they give sprinkled with paprika! Quite pricey though- I ordered one of each flavour and it was €2.50 for just one 😬

A warm mixture of tomato, carrot, zucchini, onion on a cornflour pancake. Very tasty! The coca was like cross between a crepe and a Mexican tortilla. You would never know that this was a vegan tapas place walking into it. On the surface it looks just like every other meat-eating tapas bar, but it’s actually quietly 100% vegan. You won’t even see the word vegan once in the place but everything on the menu is. Another gem hiding in plain sight! Also, there are cool punk magazines to read in there if you get bored scrolling on your phone. Extra points to this place for normalising vegan food and blending it in to the dominant culture for non-vegans to happily try.

I was very happy to come across a vegan pub-style bar on my travels in Valencia. I wasn't expecting a vegan ensaladilla russa when I ordered this, but I was very pleasantly surprised! It was refreshing and filling. I was also really impressed by all of the other vegan tapas options on offer!

Pretty cool little pub in Valencia all of the food here is vegan, it doesn't look like much but the seitan wrap is super tasty with just the right amount of spice 🔥
