🚨 I’m calling the Vegan Police on this restaurant because this dish is a crime and it should be illegal to call this pathetic joke of a meal a poké bowl, let alone charge $18 for it. This was depressing and left me starving and wanting to cry 😓 This “bowl” was just a handful of raw cherry tomatoes, some roughly grated raw carrot, cooked chopped up peppers from a jar, a couple of baby spinach leaves, and one tiny scoop of the gluggiest sushi rice I’ve ever eaten. You could stab the clumps with a fork it was so overcooked. It was like eating glue. And because there was no protein representative like tofu here, nor even a sprinkling of seeds, it was not satiating at all.
The menu describes it as ‘Sushi rice, carrot, red peppers, spinach, cherry tomatoes, and green goddess dressing’. I asked the staff what was in the green goddess dressing, as the original American sauce of this name has anchovies, mayonnaise and sour cream. The staff didn’t know, as they don’t make their own dressing, but they assured me the bottle was vegan. Whatever it was made from, they didn’t even give enough. There was barely over a tablespoon’s worth to cover the whole plate, but thank god it was there at all because it imparted some sort of creamy flavour to make it somewhat palatable enough to choke it down. Please do not order this dish but choose either the vegan burger or cauliflower tacos instead like I should have 😖
