I love the genmaicha (on the left) with warm oat milk, a nutty, slightly sweet and foamy concoction that is oh so cozy! My favourite, just that the price point was kind of high.

I love 😍 Matcha Latte :) Matcha Latte at Hvala is really smooth & pleasantly soul warming. I love ❤️ & really enjoy the ambience at 111 Somersat branch. The atmosphere is quiet, which I appreciate so much. Though the environment is quiet, the diners are actively engaging in conversation. It is so much alive. ❤️ I really like the matcha 🍵 latte & the ambience at Hvala!🥰 Costs $6.90, with oat milk, an additional dollar, with 10% service charge & 9% tax, nett $9.47. Hvala Matcha Latte quality of tea is so good that it is worth its price.🤩

Floral and bittersweet white chrysanthemum gelato made using plant mylk! 🌼🫖🍨A delicate and unique flavour indeed... that I may not necessarily have known how to fully appreciate ahaha. 🙃 Dotted with caramelised sobacha i.e. roasted buckwheat groats, which gave an added crunchy texture and nutty aroma (kinda like finely chopped almonds or cacao nibs, for those who've never eaten it). P.S. Remember to get the cup, as the cone isn't vegan! P.P.S. If you love black sesame, this goma gelato will be mind-blowing for you. I love how creamy and rich the goma flavour is in this gelato, much like the black sesame paste traditional Chinese dessert, but in gelato form. Definitely a memorable gelato. The zen-inspired decor of the cafe, laid back atmosphere and artistic kitchenware really elevated the entire experience there too. Do check out other flavours available too, from hojicha to chrysanthemum, and you’ll discover many other unique flavours.

The quality of the matcha and hojicha at Hvala is pretty unrivaled here in Singapore imo. $1 surcharge for swapping to oat milk which leaves it a hefty price of $9.5 so definitely not an everyday buy. Great for this sweltering heat we’re experiencing, and the earthiness of the matcha and hojicha is sweetened just enough so it doesn’t taste like grass, but not cloyingly sweet either. My go-to drink from here!

Apparently Shikuasa is a citrus fruit grown in Okinawa. Not sure what was used for the vegan cheese. The cake was totally instaworthy, just that my mediocre photography skills didn’t do it justice. Tasted tart and refreshing. Made my day! 😋 #vegandessert #happyfood

absolutely delicious black sesame dessert. the cookies were melt in your mouth yummy while being so rich I couldn't believe they were vegan. the entire parfait was decadent and while everything was black sesame flavoured, there were different dimensions to the taste so the parfait never got boring.

Love the tasty black sesame & chestnut purée, light cream, black sesame sponge & subtly buttery crust ($8.90++). Would be even better if the crust was crispy. Pretty amazing even for someone who doesn’t usually reach out for black sesame!

(this was actually matcha 2 i.e. medium intensity) super rich and creamy, and no oat aftertaste at all! though it was too sweet for me... i think i'll go for matcha 3 the next time because this wasn't matcha-ey enough for me
