🐅 Hungry Tiger is a dive bar in #seportland that’s been a staple in Portland going all the way back to 1985. This is a 21+ establishment at all hours, and they offer brunch on Saturdays & Sundays from 11-3pm. Though not entirely vegan, Hungry Tiger is very vegan friendly all hours—breakfast, lunch, or dinner! Their ‘Breakfast Corndogs’ include three vegan breakfast sausages fried in pancake batter, served with a maple mustard dipping sauce & hash browns. Though not entirely vegan, Hungry Tiger is very vegan friendly all hours—breakfast, lunch, or dinner! Their ‘Breakfast Plate’ comes with your choice of vegan bacon or vegan sausage with scrambled tofu, hashbrowns, a grilled tomato, and your choice of toast or a toasted English muffin with vegan butter melted on top. This was tasty and I suggest washing it down with coffee (they have dairy-free Baileys Irish Cream!) or a mimosa or any other drinky-drink or zero-proof drink you’d like! This consisted of a Beyond Meat patty with crispy, smoky, and stunningly realistic 🐷-free Thriling Foods Bakon™ strips, melty Field Roast Spicy Original Chao cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and BBQ sauce. This crave-worthy burger will satisfy anyone, vegan or not. It came with fries and a crisp and tangy pickle. The fantastic locally produced Bakon™ strips are available at all Zupans, and Market of Choice stores and most New Seasons Markets. They are also on the menu in a Bakon™, lettuce, tomato, and avocado sandwich.

These were tofu 🐥-free wings that were fried and tossed in their sweet, smoky, tangy, and spicy house BBQ sauce. They were crispy outside, tender and meaty inside, and very satisfying. Served with a side of creamy and rich house vegan ranch.

This was made with a seasoned vegan cheese blend and Beyond Meat 🐮-free beef crumbles, tomatoes, and onions. The mix of meaty, and creamy with tasty savory seasonings made it very satisfying.

With their savory, sweet cornbread coating and meaty 🌱-based sausage inside, it’s no surprise that these are legendary. Served with your choice of vegan dipping sauce. We opted for the sweet, smoky, tangy, and spicy house BBQ sauce. We also got them with some hand-cut fries made from unpeeled potatoes, which made them especially tempting, so much so that one of us couldn’t resist eating about half of them before they made it home.
