Now I HATE bananas. But this bananas bread was delicious! Sweet but not too sweet, moist and completely yummy. I couldn’t bring myself to eat the caramelised bananas on top, but I have it on good authority from my mum that they were also delicious!

Cannot fault this meal. Gorgeous umami flavour, crunchy beetroot chips on top, sticky “rice” that made the dish feel like a real treat. Will be back purely for this dish.

Quinoa “Fried Rice”

This dish is super delicious, brocolli and cauliflower cooked to perfection and avo super creamy against the sharp lemon. The artichoke was missing though (listed on menu) and I wasn’t sure how to eat the large slices of grilled lemon - they were quite overwhelming. I will definitely give this dish another bash though, very good flavours.

Another breakfast dish on the menu that was inedible. The texture was off putting and the coconut yogurt and chives made it worse. Hopefully this was just a bad day for the restaurant.

I was looking forward to this interesting breakfast, but it was poorly executed. The french toast was basically just wet bread and the addition of chives to this sweet dish made no sense. I only managed to eat a few bites.

The competition in the WC is tough and once you get used to the quality of most places, a wrap like this doesn’t really cut it anymore. I liked that it contained fresh veggies but it was a bit too oily. Also expensive for what you get, but very few options in this town.

Really tasty toastie served with chips. A bit pricey for what you get but to be expected in Franschhoek. Didn’t like the takeaway packaging though.
