This came as part of a vegetable biryani set. Sambar standard was decent and a good accompaniment to the biryani. My father and I shared the dish and polished off the basmati rice 😋before I remembered belatedly about taking photos 📸

Soy-based mutton with potato in tasty masala. Quite a spicy kick to it but so delicious when paired with basmati rice from the vegetable biryani.

It was a good experience of eating vegetarian thali. Vegetables were tasty specially chhole was very tasty and chaulai veg was a good change.

Bindhi Masala is found is most Indian restaurants. This version was lovely was the okras were well coated by the masala. The okras were tender and not over-cooked. The serving portion was good for 2-3 pax.

I have never tried mock mutton before this and this dish was impressive. Tasty without doubt. Not sure how the mock mutton cubes are made but they had a similar texture to well-cooked tender mutton. A lovely add-on to a vegan rice set.

A good value meal that fills you and is tasty. The unlimited rice serving is wonderful for big eaters 😆 the vegetable servings are generous as you can tell the waiter how much you need.

Bhindi (also Okra, Ladies finger) Masala was cooked in a rich, spicy sauce which complemented the saffron rice and naan.

Gobi Fry (deep fried cauliflower florets) arrived at the table piping hot and extremely crispy. It was delicious with the accompanying sauces.

The usual veggie set is not vegan. But my dad has been coming here for years and knows so many of the people here for years, so many people there are nice for me. They substituted the raIta and offered some curry options that were vegan friendly without ghee and butter. I also ordered a bindi curry on the side. Honestly not too bad but For me to come all the way it would be great if I could have more options 😂

I’m assuming this is definitely never vegan even with coconut milk and no ghee. Don’t actually know how the lovely stuffing at Gayatri is made but it can’t just be fruit and nut. My dad ate this and said “yeah it’s good, a bit sweet” but from what I remember, it’s BOMB AF! #indian

I just found it today that this whole time naan is made with yoghurt, not coconut milk 😩 For some reason I always believed it was just yeast flour water and sugar. But hey even 2 years in we learn something new I guess. My dad is a regular here and tends to suss oit and order stuff for me after speaking with the managers - still I’m going to assume this one was not vegan as I only has the convetsatIon wIth my dad about how they make naan after we ate It was pretty fluffy, light and honestly better than the usual hard, crispy naan you get everywhere else. In the future i’m going to ask for coconut milk (and I always aay no butter and ghee) and hopefully it will be vegan #india
