Been a while since I had this. Chen's mapo tofu is a michelin bib gourmand eatery. This meatless mapo don was delicious. You are able to pick the spiciness level. Chose medium spicy and it was really spicy! Still enjoyed it! Would order again (but perhaps at a lower spicy level next time)! Price: $16.80

Bravely picked spicy level 2 and found out that it was not for the untrained tongue 😅 Good to pair with a drink to calm the spiciness.. Mien's texture goes well with the tofu.. But personally prefer don option 😁 Thankful for meatless options at Chen's!

Delicious! Can feel the numbing peppercorn even though I only chose spice level 1. The portion could be bigger as this costs $14.50. Will be good if there are more vegetarian options for sides. Not sure if it’s vegan friendly.

Loved every bite of the rice with the tofu, sauce and veg. A hearty meal. Wish that the portion was bigger for the price.

It was a legit mapo tofu. I loved how you can choose your spiciness level from 1/2/3. I chose 2 and it was just right! (Fyi I usually take middle spicy for Mala xiang guo) Even though there's only this 1 choice at Chen's I would probably come back again just to have it!!

Sooo disappointed bc the veg one used to cost less than the original. NOW IT COSTS MORE than the meat😡😡 #vegantax Altho it was pretty good and filling im giving 2 stars for value 😢 this came to about $18 after gst whcih could get me a bowl of ramen!!!
