I got these fries as a side for the wild rice and salad dish, and together, they make a very filling meal. The fries are nothing special, but they’re not too greasy, which is nice.

This is my favorite dish at the Angry Trout Cafe! The wild rice dish makes the meal much more filling, and includes wild rice, dried cranberries, mushrooms, peas, and hazelnuts. The salad is amazing and packed with so many vegetables—mixed baby lettuces, shredded beets and carrots, bell pepper, apple, cucumber, red onion, cherry tomatoes, and an edible flower. I got the house vinaigrette, and I absolutely loved it!

Oh my gosh, I LOVE this dish. It is SO DELICIOUS!!! My husband and I get it every time we are “up north” in Minnesota for pre-race fuel the night before a long trail run. Highly recommend. It is pretty to look at and the flavors are out of this world! Order with wild rice!

These waffle fries were delicious, though very expensive (around $7 for the side of fries). We love eating outside here - the tables are right by the water!

This was good, though mine was a little over cooked and it costs about $2 more to sub fries for chips. The pickled veggies it comes with are amazing!

This was amazing! Wild rice with a beautiful seasonal salad (ours had melon on it, and a previous time I’ve ordered this it came with edible flowers!). Make sure to order it without cheese (the menu doesn’t mention cheese, but our server said it usually comes with cheese)

These skewers were delicious, especially the mushrooms! It comes with a choice of fries, wild rice, or fettuccine. I really wanted the pasta but they said it contains egg so I went with the wild rice that was good. This is a huge dish that comes with salad too (although it contains whole grapes and slices of cantaloupe which is a bit weird). Most of their delicious homemade dressings are vegan and are available for purchase too.

This root beer is homemade and delicious! It’s a shame they don’t have any vegan ice cream otherwise I would have totally ordered a root beer float.

So delicious! Barbecued skewers with mushrooms, peppers, broccoli, carrots, and onions. You can order them as part of a meal or as a side (as we did).

Order this without cheese on the salad and it’s vegan. This restaurant surprisingly has tons of veggie options (including the beyond burger!) This dish has wild rice with mushrooms, toasted hazelnuts, and celery. The salad is huge and comes with local blueberries. The table has an assortment of homemade dressing but i can’t guarantee if they’re vegan. They did have a house vinaigrette that was vegan. This dish was so filling that I couldn’t finish it.
