This place is such a great hangout for the local veggie Buddhist scene in #thimphu, the capital of #bhutan This curry was delicious, packed full of veggies and tofu and served with the local “red rice” that is famous in Bhutan. I met so many interesting people at this cafe over the week I was there. Will definitely be back!!

The soup was absolutely delicious but maybe even better was the toasted sourdough baguette that it came with. Lots of delicious diced veggies in a lentil broth that tasted as good as it felt for eating something healthy! This comes with butter so be sure to tell them you don’t need it. Best spot in #thimphu for vegetarian and vegan food! #bhutan #ambientcafe

So good 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 Perhaps one of the best things I’ve had since I arrived in Bhutan 🇧🇹 Deep fried and worth every ounce of oil fattening up my belly! I drenched them in black pepper and they were even better. #thimphu #bhutan #pakora #deepfried

My first meal in Bhutan 🇧🇹 I really wanted to try Bhutanese food but heard that it’s very cheesy so I found this vegetarian spot on abillion and headed there. As I walked in a beautiful grey cat 🐈 greeted me and I grabbed a book about Bhutan and got cosy. The food was great! They swapped out the cheese for tofu and gave me a delicious dahl to go along with the Bhutanese red rice. The chili sauce was intense 🌶️🌶️🌶️ I wasn’t a big fan of the textured soy. Not sure what it was trying to resemble but otherwise a great meal and a super chill spot to relax in Thimphu. #bhutan #thimphu
