Vegan Marble Cake

Not sure if I got a dud but this had such a weird taste! Didn't taste like chocolate or vanilla really, very weird! It was still nice but I wouldn't jump at the chance to buy it again

I haven’t had marble cake in years so couldn’t pass the opportunity when I saw this at the #lidl veganuary sale. I expected the batters to be more mixed but to their credit it does look like the picture on the packaging. I served this after a dinner and 4 of us devoured it in 1 sitting. #cake #sweettooth

Compact air pockets make the cake dense to cut, keeps it shape when being cut. The marble is more like a 50 50 plain sponge with chocolate. Great chunk of chocolate. Take a bite. Moist Compact not over sweet. Moorish. Get a few in the pantry while you can and get hold of a cake container. Pace your self. So surprised to find this in Lidl! I loved it! Not too dry, in my opinion, but quite soft. I love to top it up with fresh banana but I know lot of people like it with custard 😍
