Vegan cheese Sauce

Price: £0.69 (Heron Foods) (RRP: £2.50+) Decided to try this on a whim and it wasn't really worth it in all honesty. Consistency wise it is close to a dairy cheese sauce, but tastes like rubber. Even heated up it didn't lose the rubber taste, I masked it with some soya sauce and it became a lot nicer. But I shouldn't have to mask the taste in the first place. I made a delicous lazy vegan cauliflour and pasta bake with this sauce. I tasted the sauce from the jar and was a little bland so threw in some mustard and seasoning before adding to my bake. Worth keeping in cupboard for those quick meals.

DO NOT TOUCH THIS. OMG the grossest thing ever. It smelt like melted plastic when we opened the jar and smelled worse when heated. Totally inedible. 0/10. Had to throw a whole cauliflower in the bin as we couldn’t wash it off 🤮🤢

Absolutely revolting! So bland, tastes nothing like cheese and leaves a horrible plastic-y after-taste 👎🏼

Hmm, not so keen on this… I felt as though it didn’t have much flavour (had to add quite a lot of my own), and the texture ended up fairly slimy.. probably wouldn’t buy again especially as it’s not cheap #veganisnotscary #day6 #1reviewaday
