Uncle Ben's Special Golden Vegetable Rice

My local Coop have got me by the short and curlies with these £1 microwaveable #rice packets. I don’t love them but they make a great mid meal snack when work boredom has taken ahold 🐷

Uncle Ben’s is good for an instant lunch when you’re basically living at the Uni library, because you can heat it in the bag so you don’t need to bring your own container. It is also somewhat healthier than instant noodles (in the news there was a student who ended up in hospital after eating nothing but instant noodles 😱). I love their tomato rice but this one was bland, I could barely taste the flavours 😕. I noticed in other people’s posts they have a clearly labelled plant based range now, so I’ll be on the lookout for those 🧐.

First time I try this. Tasteless. I liked it only after I added spices. Is that how it's supposed to be, tasteless so each can add the desired seasoning? If so then I should give 5 stars but since it says 'ready to eat, only heat' I think it should already have flavor.

it not for this selling at 75p we wldnt get it - generous portions of ingredients and spices which means it's really flavourful so each time we just use half a packet and mix it withe the grain that we are cooking for our staple and it's really tasty
