This is perhaps the third time we’ve purchased these #korean plant-based rice balls from #traderjoes and they’re always a hit! My roommates aren’t vegan, but they still insist on these making it into our cart when shopping. These are quick and easy to prepare and make a great snack or side of a meal. Potential cons: - cost: your mileage may vary on this one. Current a pack of 3 rice balls is $4.99 at my local Trader Joe’s. - packaging: I don’t believe either the primary bag or the individual packaging is recyclable. Considering the size of the rice balls, it also feels a bit wasteful that the primary bag is as large as it is. #deathbyplastic Contains: sesame, soy, and wheat #koreanfood #vegantraderjoes #beefless

I’m not familiar with rice balls, but I thought the packaging was ridiculously oversized and wasteful. Inside were three smaller packs, each containing one rice ball. It seems the only method to warm it up is the microwave, it takes about 90 seconds or a bit longer if you want to warm up two packs at the same time. The vegan bulgogi seems to be the same one they sell at Trader Joe’s, it’s quite good. Each portion has 5g of added sugars. I wouldn’t repurchase, much prefer the Kimbap, it’s cheaper and it feels healthier too, this one barely has any veggies.
