Usually, when I make homemade french fries, I sprinkle some freshly chopped onions on my fries (after they’re cooked). This time, I decided to sprinkle some of these dehydrated chopped onions directly on the raw potatoes before they went into the oven. They burned as they cooked and the burnt onions added a really nice taste to the fries.  Like most (all?) spices, this is calorie-free and fat-free. There’s only one ingredient. I bought this package of No Name Dehydrated Chopped Onion at No Frills for $2. I would get this again.
Liked diced onions but hate chopping them and crying?? Soak them until they are plump and use them however you would use fresh onion. Also have a great shelf life so less waste.
