Tahini is the key ingredient for making hummus (although you can make hummus with smooth
peanut or almond butter as well!) and can be quite tricky to find. Luckily my local Morrisons sells this amazing paste in the Asian food aisle, and it comes for £3.90. I’ve seen it at Asda too.
My favourite type of hummus is not chickpea hummus but cannellini bean hummus with chives. Three tablespoons of tahini can make a lot of hummus! As a matter of fact I bought this jar last year around May and I finished it today. It was still good 😄
You can use tahini also on toasts and to make creamy dressings for your pasta dishes. It’s high in protein and iron, so definitely good for you!
