I went into the Garden City “village”, at my sister’s recommendation, to check out a bakery with incredible vegan options. Not unexpectedly, the place was busy; if it’s good, they will come! Its offerings (baked goods and sandwiches), both vegan and non-vegan, looked so fresh and enticing.
Most of the food offerings was not vegan. But the few that were vegan were equally visually appealing. The vegan baked goods were by the cash register. One that I chose was the Vegan Carrot Walnut Muffin with Cream Frosting. It was $6.99 US which was a little pricey (not surprising considering it’s Garden City).
This muffin was so delicious. It must have been made that morning! You don’t have to be vegan to enjoy the delicious and decadent food. I have a weakness for cream cheese icing, and this muffin did not disappoint. I love the little strands of carrot and that distinctive carrot spice.
I highly recommend this muffin!!
