Thunder Tea Rice

The stall sells meat dishes but is able to make vegan Thunder Rice for me by 1) removing the meat 2) use boiling water (instead of bone soup) to make the tea

This was really nice! Got it from the beauty nutritious soup stall and make sure to ask for it to be vegetarian or he will add dried anchovies. I was never really a fan of the soup-tea thing but I enjoy the rice! The portion is very generous.

i got the brown rice so it was $6; quite liked this as i think the veggies were cooked just right but i feel the portion cld hv been a bit more haha esp since i requested not to hv the ikan bilis; havent rlly eaten TTR so im not sure how thick the soup is supposed to be but taste wise i didnt mind the slight bitterness and it went well w the rest of the ingredients imo :)

$6 for this with pumpkin rice (it’s like brown rice with pumpkin cubes? HAHA) instead of white ($5.70)!:D request for no anchovies to make it vegan! portion was generous and the veggies were great except a little oily. asked for less of the soup because I usually don’t add it in heh but i feel that the soup was a little bland and watery!:( didn’t add much flavour to the rice and it was slightly too bitter for my liking. overall pretty okay meal!

Love to have my TTR fix here. The portions are generous, I usually have it without the ikan bilis, so it’s vegan. Be sure to let the server know. The portion comes with brown rice, beans, tofu, cabbage, long beans and an assortment of other veggies. Also comes with a big bowl of basil, sesame (Leicha) soup. It taste a little bitter, not as creamy but still good! Also love the always smiley service staff! Even during peak hours, they still are efficient and friendly!
