It was my lovely wife’s birthday yesterday and I decided to surprise her with this absolutely delicious cake. I chose to go with strawberries and cream because it was a shift away from the regular flavours we generally have for birthdays.
The taste was perfect, the strawberries filling was so good, the icing so was lite and creamy, the sponge of the cake was fluffy and the presentation very simplistic. All in all we had a great day and the cake was the icing on top of it.
