Shrooms Burg

It's been a while since I last visited Veganburg, and my first time at their newest branch (Woodleigh). The shrooms burger was a lot oilier than I remember (and I had ordered the same thing several times at their other branch) which truly made this feel quite sinful. Was delicious otherwise. Nice portion too! 🍔🍔

I liked how it was fresh, the bun was crispy and overall did not feel very unhealthy despite it being fast food.

Came with a choice of soy 'chicken' patty or fried battered portobello mushroom patty (+$1). Opted for the latter, albeit with slight confusion over why additional charge was required heh. Enjoyed the creamy sauce, though I wished there could have been other toppings - I believe there were supposed to be some sauteed button mushrooms? 🍔🍄 (Allium-free, $11.90 for the burger a la carte) +$3.90 to make it a set; including a choice of side (opted for Sizzlin Broccoli) and drink (opted for Ginger Lemonade). 🥦🍹 Glad there was a healthier alternative to fries as a side, but personally found the Sizzlin Broccoli nothing remarkable; my air-fried broccoli with spices at home are on par if not better hahaha. Post-spiderverse grub with the son… he wanted a juicy mushroom burger but said it was too massive, so we got them to slice it in half so it was defo more manageable. He even requested the sauce on the side so he could dunk the burger in. I think he’s on to somethin’…

$11.90, Shrooms Burger, Portobello Patty | Trying Veganburg at the new mall - Really spacious and modern looking but the tables are not really cleaned well :’) The waiting time took awhile during lunchtime but still bearable - in about 20mins? First time trying portobello patty & was juicy 😍 The sauce also reminds me of tar tar sauce!
