Shepherd’s Pie

Wow!!! This was absolutely delicious although too spicy. Cafe Salivation has merged with Raj Restaurant, I heard mixed reviews about their vegan labelling so I was very sure to tell the server to make this vegan. So much soy mince inside omg! The edamame was a great source of protein and texture! Delightful mashed potato on top. On the expensive side but oh boy it was a good meal! I should ask for less spicy next time though, as theirs is Indian standard which is very spicy. They only serve bottled water now due to COVID. #veganisnotscary 🎃

It smells aromatic when they were serving this dish. The top crust is well done, and the mashed potato inside has a smooth texture. It contains soy granules, edamame and carrots. It is so savory and gives you the right spiciness. #crf

[Disclaimer] Do inform the staff to exclude butter in the dish, as it contains it by default even though it is labelled 'vegan' in the menu. An overall pleasing dish which I'd consider as 'comfort food." Good overall flavour, not greasy, generous filling. It'd be cool if they shaped the mashed potato on top with some patterns, so as as to make some brown and crispy bits when it's placed under the broiler. Brown = flavour! #crfsg

My first vegan Shepherd’s Pie. Contains edamame and is considerably spicier than the Brit version. My only suggestion is to bake it to form a crust. #crfsg
