So, I found this lovely little restaurant in Kyoto. It's near a cute little shopping district but far enough away to have a calm atmosphere. You first go upstairs and get a ticket then wait downstairs for someone to call you. There are two main sections of the restaurant. I was seated near the window in a comfy lounge chair. Depending on when you go you will have to order from a certain menu. From the light menu (off hours) I order this ramen. I order the large and it was absolutely huge. It could easily be split between two if not 3 people. I didn't finish it. The taste was amazing it was really creamy and was perfect on a rainy day. There are many teas to choose from and I ordered the green tea. They will take it to you when you want it. I wanted it after my meal so I could sit and read. It was really nice. Just a side warning the water is self served with various flavored water. I didn't realize this for a very long time. So in short, cozy atmosphere, huge portions, delicious food, and very friendly.
P.S. There is a store attached to it where you can buy some produce and condiments. They had a wide selection of organic tea.
Would definitely eat here again.
