Another greatly missed dish: cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. Modern Love has always excelled in veganizing the most popular dishes, and this vegan/gf cheesecake is no exception! Perfect ratios of lemon curd to raspberry, and the crust was perfectly crisp. The only thing that could have made it any better would have been removing the raspberry seeds and swirling it in with the lemon cheesecake instead of layering it on top.
A lovely finish to a wonderful evening at Modern Love! We were both so stuffed after entrees (and we even ended up taking some leftovers back to the hotel) that I almost couldn’t look at the #dessert menu. But that would have been a mistake; I’d have missed indulging in this #cheesecake. Luckily we decided to go for it — no regrets! This dessert features a graham cracker crust, #lemon cheesecake filling, and a #raspberry compote topping. #berrylover The crust had a slight spice to it, almost like speculoos biscuits; the (cashew-based?) lemon filling was creamy without being heavy or too sweet. #ditchdairy It can be topped with coconut whip upon request. I was really surprised to see that it’s #glutenfree! A beautifully presented and enjoyable dessert — $9. #omaha
