Pure Matcha Latte

I don’t think Starbucks is in the league of coffee or matcha lattes, but I wanted to review this one because of the experience. When I ordered this cup, I forgot to opt for soy milk, only after receiving it did I realise! Went over to the counter not expecting anything and was happy to pay for a second cup, but they so kindly gave me a new cup of soy matcha latte on the house 🥺💓

Not very intense but super palatable. Only added 80c for oat milk.

Ordered with soy milk. I usually drink the dairy one but decided to try soy milk and see if i can make the switch since I am lactose intolerant. Starbucks drinkers... Is it me or does starbucks soy milk have an astringent, tart aftertaste in your mouth? I really didn't like this. Maybe I should try other milk alternatives.

I just found out today while browsing the Starbucks app that they now offer pure matcha latte!? How long has it been? Am I late to the game lol. That's awesome because their regular green tea powder has added sugar while this matcha does not ✨🍵✨ Requested for no syrup (yes the default recipe still has syrup) and soy milk. Quite smooth and creamy, but I think I'll ask for an extra scoop of matcha powder next time. The tumbler discount (50c) they gave offset some of the extra charge for soy (70c) which is still annoying #saynotothesurcharge
