Pulut hitam taro tart

This is so so good~ makes me so so happy~ I’ve tried their taro tart and it’s 🤤 but this~ this is lagi 🤤~ their Pulut Hitam texture is perfect~ cannot wait to go back to get MORE~~~~~~~ 🤍🌸🤍🌸🤍

🥧 I can imagine a lot of work goes into these small tarts, along with the partial organic ingredients, and good texture and taste, does explain the price point. Occasional splurge I'd do to enjoy the taro and black glutinous rice mix, that isn't overly sweet! 😘

Nice combi of yam and pulat hitam. Not as sweet and heavy as one would usually expect from such yam/pulat hitam desserts. Would totally get this again! 👍🏻

Similar to the taro tart but with a hidden layer of sticky black glutinous rice boiled down with gula melaka. Mildly sweet with an interesting texture from the plump rice grains! ($4)

Such a creative tart flavour! However having tried the taro tart this pales in comparison. The pulut hitam was true to traditional flavours but as it lacked the coconut milk topping the whole pulut hitam flavour wasn't fully expressed. The taro was great as usual! Love how it's creamy and mildly sweet but not cloying. Tart crust is not the crumbly sort but still nice.
