I’ve seen originalherbivore on ig repost like 3 people’s stories (including this one) saying good things about their phish & chips and the account actually admitted that this dish isn’t for everyone & I think it’s just not for me.
The phish just seemed like it had a high water content and there was a piece of the “banana blossom” (what it’s apparently made from) in two of the pieces I got that I had to remove because I couldn’t chew them. The phish looked good but the feeling of it just wasn’t my favorite and it just had a (very subtle) unfamiliar flavor that I don’t know how to describe.
I did like their fries and the ranch they used though.
If I get to try this place again, I’d try their fried chick’n next time because it’s apparently really good. I just have to get to their truck earlier next time I go to a vegan depot though so they don’t run out again.
