Kind Sushi

Japanese brown rice seasoned with apple cider vinegar, not as sticky as traditional sushi rice but healthier since they're wholegrains. Topped with tofu tamago, papaya tuna, and ponzu mushrooms. They didn't really taste like egg or sashimi, but made for a unique whole-food plant-based rendition of sushi. Came with a little smear of wasabi. ($20 / 6 pieces)

I really enjoyed every bite of these! So happy I got to try them. Will certainly be ordering more. Why I didn’t rate any of the dishes a 5-⭐️ when it comes to pricing? Because they are on the higher price range. And not everyone can afford it. Having said that, I am willing to pay more for my food, especially if organic and premium ingredients are used. Though I personally think that good quality food in general, should be priced more friendly, while prices of animal based products and junk food should be jacked up. If you don’t take the time to ensure your health is a priority, then someday, you will need to find the time & money when you are unwell.

The “sashimi” looking sushi is actually made from papaya! This was one of the reasons why I wanted to try TBC’s Kind Sushi. The sushi rice was amazing! It was just the right amount of stickiness and was very fragrant and delicious. Overall, not a bad dish but slightly overpriced as I could get more of my money’s worth from Sauté Sushi.
