I was looking for a vegan birthday cake for my birthday and tried my luck if I can get a cake at Green Dot cafe at paya lebar square. It says the cake was not available on the website but I was so glad I tried my luck anyway! At 3pm, there are 3 cakes left at the place and there was a 2 cakes for 14 sgd promo at the same time:) It was a pleasant surprise and I immediately ordered 2. At first, the kaya toast flavour does not appeal to me but I just get it anyway. Luckily, I liked the taste; it tasted like the normal tiramisu with a nice coffee flavour and some hint of alcohol. I like the nice mix of cream and sponge cake, from one layer to the next. The kaya flavour is actually just the topping where there was 3 mini toasts which was a bit hard to bite. Leave the cake at room temperature for maybe 30 minutes, the cake will be softer and fluffier. The texture will be better. Overall a pleasant experience. :)

A sweat treat from Greendot’s Paya Lebar outlet: their Kaya Tiramisu Cake. The taste is really lovely, reminding me loads of tiramisu I used to have before going vegan. However, the texture is really dense: for those of you looking for some light/airy/creamy tiramisu, it ain’t it! A bit too heavy in my opinion, would have preferred something slightly more creamy to create a nice taste and texture combo! Still, for $8.90, it isn’t a bad cake option (the serving is quite big!) 🤗 Couldn’t tell it was Kaya flavoured, but maybe that’s because I’ve hardly ever had kaya since I got in Singapore haha. All in all, I would not have this again, but I had it in mind for a while now so I’m glad I tried.
