I visited Barrie, Ontario for the first time in over a year and decided to drop in at The Vegan Pantry. I was glad to see the store still open. Everything in the store and its restaurant is 100% vegan! 
I bought a few freshly baked goods and the third I’m reviewing is the Jumbo Pecan Butter Tart. I didn’t think the butter tart was so “jumbo”, but for its price ($7.95), I think it should’ve been bigger. I didn’t ask the price beforehand; maybe I should have. This store is pricey simply because its costs are high. I don’t think they’re gouging its customers. 
This butter tart was absolutely delicious, buttery and extremely sweet, but I don’t think it was worth $7.95 (plus tax). But I understand it’s a small business with small volume, so I’m more compelled to pay it to support this business. The people / staff are always nice and 100% vegan businesses must survive. 
I don’t recall seeing too many pecans in it.
There’s no way of detecting this butter tart as being vegan. It was so good!! 
I would definitely get this again because if its taste, but would be a little reluctant to pay $7.95.
