Hung Lay Curry

I love this restaurant! Right in the heart of the tourist center of Bangkok, Khao San Rd, Mango is the place you want to visit ! Very extensive menu with a fusion of Thai and other types of cuisine. This curry had a lot going on with it- the usual stuff and more exciting non conventional things like #tempeh and lotus root! The black #stickyrice is also very satisfying! Beautiful place with beautiful food. Come early to avoid a wait ! We arrived just after 5 and were the first ones in but it filled completely up as we were finishing. #vegancurry

This is a northeast style curry made with tempeh (it’s normally served with tofu but they ran out!), fresh ginger, potatoes, sweet potatoes, jackfruit seeds, taro, pineapple, mixed veggies, chickpeas, black beans, and red kidney beans. It’s a HUGE portion (I ordered rice with it) and definitely filling for 2 people! Very delicious with just the right amount of spice, and very affordable for such fresh, high quality food.
